Do they announce the percentage of votes each candidate gets? I'm sure the voters in the Big 12 region will vote mostly for Young, but I bet Bush gets the vast majority of the votes, like 75 percent or something.

That's true, but if Pete Carroll wasn't playing Lendale White half the time, Bush's numbers would be comically high. He's put up his numbers while sharing carries with White and in an offense that uses Leinart and all those great receivers. Can you imagine the numbers Bush would have if he was in an office like Memphis, where DeAngelo Williams is the entire offense? I'd guess he'd be around 2,500 yards and 30 touchdowns.

In my humble opinion, he's the best college running back since Barry Sanders. Can anyone think of another back this good?

Bush just plays on a juggernaut. He will be a mediocre pro. USC has like 30-40 NFL players.

Before the injury, McGahee was much better than Bush. Ricky Williams was a better college player. Oh, and ShanDerrick before the injury.

Please. Reggie, is fookin' good, but so is the rest of the USC offense. I highly doubt he would have near the numbers he did have if he played with Memphis. He is lucky USC used him on kickoffs and punt returns (which, btw, he was statistically pedestrian on those) to be able to pad his stats. People give him so much praise for having 500+ all-purpose yards against Frenso State - who, btw, finished 4th in their conference. He wouldn't have had nearly those yards had USC's defense shown up and not allowed Fresno State to score so much, thus giving him ample kick return opportunities.

Again, don't get me wrong, I think Bush is a brilliant player, but he's not the second coming. I think he'll be mediocre at best in the NFL. I just don't think he's built for the punishment the pros will dish him.

I will revise my earlier statement. At best, Bush will be like Tiki Barber, who is no slouch.

I could see that, but that's assuming he's put into an offense that runs like that. Chances are he'll go to a crappy team that needs a good, punishing running back and that's not something he is. He's a finesse runner. Who knows.

Since Longhorn68 seems to be basing the award on what type of pro Bush will be, what kind of pro is Young going to be?? Bush will be a one or two pick in the draft, Young will not sniff the first round.

What are you basing that on? Can you predict what his senior year will be like? Besides, for him to be like Akili Smith, doesn't he have to win the Heisman first?
