TransfersWhen was the last time SMU got a legit transfer from a solid program? Texas just lost 3 players... what are the chances we get one? The biggest transfer will be Florida's qb Portis. He was one of the highest rated qb's in the nation and is perfect for a spread offense. Also, Jolla (WR) from Miami is transferring and wants playing time.
Re: TransfersAccording to his UM bio: 6-2, 190 Called "deceptively fast" -- which to me means he's probably somewhere around a 4.5 guy, not your standard Miami 4.3 burner. Coming out of high school: No. 2 prospect in Louisiana by SuperPrep... No. 5 wide receiver and No. 71 prospect in the nation by TheInsiders.com (now scout.com) ... No. 4 wide receiver and no. 65 prospect over-all in the nation by Student Sports... nation's No. 5 receiver on Max Emfinger's National Top 125...nation's No. 41 prospect, regardless of position, by Tom Lemming's Prep Football Report...nation's No. 5 receiver by Tom Lemming's Prep Football Report...Atlanta Journal-Constitution Super Southern 100...no. 79 prospect on Dallas Morning News National Top 100...first-team All-State selection as senior when he had 34 catches for 915 yards and 11 touch-downs... All-District and All-Parish...30 catches for 516 yards and 7 touchdowns as a junior...lettered in basketball...all-state in four track events (200, 400, and both relays)...chose Miami over Florida, LSU and Georgia Tech...
Jolla (WR) from Miami ...
a perfect example why these highly ranked guys are nothing but someone else's perception.. would he be able to come in and help, probably because he got a ride to miami.. but who knows maybe he is an absolute cancer and if he is not given everything in the world like he was in high school then he won't every amount to anything.. we need guys who want to prove themselves.. I always use Alan Adami as an example but its b/c i came to smu w/ him as a freshman walk-on.. I would take 22 Alan Adami's over 22 Jolla's any day of the week to turn around the smu program
remind me what was our record during the years we admitedly found this diamond in the rough? What was our record during years our recruiting classes consisted of sleepers Ramon Flannigan, Chris Bordano, Bill Kiely, Jason Simonton, Cary Brabham, et al. That's what I thought-thanks for playing.
well how about 97 .. the last time we had a winning record adn simonton and johnson were on the team..
What the hell are you doing talking smack on pony fans at 3:11 am .. You amaze me of what a tool you are.. your probably 35 plus and your browsing pony fans acting like an 8th grader by saying "thanks for playing" I have an excuse because I am working at the ticket doing the overnight shift and I don't have anything else better to do i really feel sorry for you.
