USM and Memphis have won. UH, UCF, and UTEP have lost. Tulsa is yet to play. Can you believe that six CUSA team got into bowl games? If SMU had been 6-5 instead of 5-6, the ponies would have been playing in December. I must admit that CUSA has a lot of post-season playing opportunities. So far the East has been the only winners.

UTEP and UH looked pretty bad, but then again, we beat both of them, so I am not too surprised. Kansas was on the up-tick at the end of the season and UH down. UCF played a great game and lost against Nevada with few of their fans there. Tulsa and Fresno should be an interesting game. Hopefully Mills has a big game. Fresno is doing their annual end of the season funk after losing a big game, so they are vulnerable. I would have loved to have gotten the Ponies into the Ft. Worth Bowl and played Kansas. It might have been a very good game to wtach.

I would shudder at the thought of us playing a Big12 team! Remember our game against an average (at best) A&M team?

If SMU had beaten Tulsa, it would have won the C-USA West.

We played Baylor pretty close and the Aggie game was at the beginning of the year. We were playing very well at the end of the year. If we had beaten Tulsa and the lost the championship game to Central Florida we would have been 6-6, would that have made us bowl ineligible?

Yup - would have ben eligible. Whether or not we would have gotten a bid, that's hard to say.
