Not trying to stir the pot, just thought this was interesting - and a little surprising. Of course, this is just the football team and the rest of the athletics program could have considerably lower numbers.

I would bet that non-revenue sports will pull the numbers up, not down. The reputation is that the UT FB team drives players off (who are not up to caliber on the field) to make room for each new recruiting class.

Less than 50% is a real problem. What is wrong with 2/3's as a minimum. I prefer 75-80%. You recruit players who can get a degree, keep them and help them meet their academic demands. Straight forward and it respects the student athlete.
