No way -- Jackson's the best there is, and maybe the best there ever was.
Sure sounds like he needs some new binoculars, though, huh?

You gotta cut the man some slack he's old as dirt.
That said, agreed, he has lost a step.

Keith Jackson is an ATO.
So are Jim McKay and Curt Gowdy.
All of 'em work for ABC.
'Nuff said.

If they are then they need to be booted like SMU booted the ATO's.

Yes, they are. And no, they shouldn't.
And, just for the record...SMU did not 'boot' the ATOs.
The ATO national office removed the chapter's status on The Hilltop.
Oh, by the way...Lee Corso is an ATO, too.

Great voice, but he was a little slow on the reactions tonight. Maybe he'll retire again? What a game!

Oh, by the way...Lee Corso is an ATO, too.
Tomato tomatoe = they were in a huge decline. Go horns.
Sorry 65, they messed with my house mom so I have some distaste.

Which house? Just curious...
And that's why I have some 'distaste' for the 'Horns, smupony94. U.T. has 'messed' with my Mustangs quite a few times.
And it's Keith, not Kieth. (see thread title) ^

I have always admired Keith Jackson and felt he was the best College FB announcer around. But last night he was way off his normal game. I agree that it is time for him to retire. He kept reading that AFLAC trivia question as "What players won the MVP Rose Bowl Award" instead of adding "2 times" into the question. Poor Fouts started listing all of the winners he could think of.
Didn't he actually retire about 5 years ago and then just show back up? He used to partner with Griese and I remember the big farewell during their last broadcast. Then he came back and said he could not stay away. I always wondered if he just did it because he did not like working with Griese. Oh well, hopefully his announcing days will rest in peace.
But remember, when Jackson retires we probably get Musberger as a replacement.

If you're an ATO, I'm not sure you want to claim that, do you? Lee Corso is a clown. Most of the ATOs I knew at SMU made more sense in their sleep than that guy does.

As an old journalism prof of mine used to say, the news/sports business is like a 3-ring circus and every circus needs a clown. Might as well be Lee. He's good for a laugh.
The clown in Dallas is Dale Hansen or that 'Why Guy', take your pick.
The clown in Houston is Marvin Zindler.
