Craig James Hand Sign

Did anyone else catch that at the very end of the ABC broadcast that Craig James held up the mustang "pony ears" hand sign when the rest of the broadcasters made the longhorn hand sign. He quickly changed it to the longhorn sign. Not sure if it was just a mistake on his part or if he was doing it on purpose.

Loyal to his alma mater first, my friend. Way to go, Craig.

I noticed his little longhorn sign...didn't know the two fingers you mention though.

I was surprised he did the Hook Em Horns Sign but I guess I shouldn't be.

Noticed it...I think it was habit. The reason I think that is that USC shares the same hand signal as SMU...V for victory. I just don't think he would mix up UT and USC. But you can bet as vain as USC fans can sometimes be (I am a USC fan, but not for this game...call it a "state pride" issue), they probably thought it was about them.

Lord knows that LA has got to be stunned. How could USC get beat in their hometown??

he probably wouldn't have cared as long as the money kept rolling in.

As far as I know, Craig James never took a dime; he says he didn't and there is no evidence he ever did. Dickerson had the trans am; James had an old honda or something. James HS girlfriend was already at SMU when he got here. He was coming to SMU regardless. It is in "A payroll to meet."

I think he threw the Pony Ears in because he was a little jealous how Joe Paterno, and Penn State ( 1 loss ) stole a national championship from him, and SMU ( 11-0-1 ) after the Cotton Bowl win after the 82 season.

I was thinking about that right when he did it.

Saw the pony ears and it was great to see them at the national championship game even if for a second...Probably a once in a life time occurrence considering the current bias in the NCAA. Oh and our recent hard times!
