"Texas National Championship" Gear in SMU Bookstore! What has this world come to?
Go Frogs! Pony Up!
if that is the case, it doesn't surprise me one bit -
barnes & noble runs the store & the inventory appears to be getting worse by the year - in fact, this yr when i was visiting during turkey wkend, i purchased some cheap bic pens that read SMU on them & nothing else - i got bored after about 15 min & left - & i'm there only once a yr if that - BRING BACK THE GLORY DAYS OF SMU FOOTBALL!!!
For some strange reason, one of the few universities that REFUSE to use their school colors: Harvard Crimson & Yale Blue.
Ours is also Barnes and Noble... if they do that to ours, I am going to get pissed.

I won't be holding my breath for SMU stuff to be sold in the UT bookstore, though. ![]()
Yeah, they're such a source of accurate information. ![]()
Face it, UT winning the national championship is the closest we (or any school in the state of Texas for that matter) will ever get to winning it in a long long time, so I don't blame them for selling the merchandise.
We're happy to patch together a 5-6 season, Ut wins BCS bowls. It's a no brainer. ---------------

We sell TCU Gear in our own frickin stadium and you guys are shocked at this??!! It was no big deal to you guys when I told you they had frog kiosks on the visitor side of Ford stadium and you said "oh well, we might as well make money on them".
First of all, I don't think the University has much of a say in what the bookstore stocks on their shelves, since the bookstore is owned and operated by Barnes and Noble. Since we live in a market economy, the people at Barnes and Noble are going to stock what sells. I'm sure that bookstore pulls in customers from the Park Cities who don't have a connection to SMU (probably a lot of UT alumns), so it makes sense for the store to have that merchandise in stock.
For those of you that majored in engineering or communications, keep in mind that supply = demand.
