if that is the case, it doesn't surprise me one bit -

barnes & noble runs the store & the inventory appears to be getting worse by the year -

in fact, this yr when i was visiting during turkey wkend, i purchased some cheap bic pens that read SMU on them & nothing else -

i got bored after about 15 min & left -

& i'm there only once a yr if that -

Come on guys, does this really surprise anyone? There are as many SMU students who are true UT fans as true SMU fans.

I won't be holding my breath for SMU stuff to be sold in the UT bookstore, though.

Yeah, they're such a source of accurate information. Especially when it involves S.M.U.

Face it, UT winning the national championship is the closest we (or any school in the state of Texas for that matter) will ever get to winning it in a long long time, so I don't blame them for selling the merchandise.

We're happy to patch together a 5-6 season, Ut wins BCS bowls. It's a no brainer.

First of all, I don't think the University has much of a say in what the bookstore stocks on their shelves, since the bookstore is owned and operated by Barnes and Noble. Since we live in a market economy, the people at Barnes and Noble are going to stock what sells. I'm sure that bookstore pulls in customers from the Park Cities who don't have a connection to SMU (probably a lot of UT alumns), so it makes sense for the store to have that merchandise in stock.
For those of you that majored in engineering or communications, keep in mind that supply = demand.
