Did you guys catch the comment about Vince Young that Mack Brown made: The coaches finally just left him alone to do his thing. His unorthodox delivery and running style made him arguably the best college football player in years, Perhaps this could work for Chris Phillips, who in all but sucess reminds me of Vince.

its not a comparison, its an analogy. You dont have to think Phillips is anywhere near as great as Young to see the point on a different level. Phillips has been and could be very effective for SMU. Throwing motion is overrated if you are a competitor and have other skills.

I agree. I just didn't understand the "unbelievable" comment.

I think I am more concerned over the reports that Phillip's arm never recovered from the injury more than where he releases the ball.

And considering that we are hearing it isn't recovered now, then I am sure it wasn't ready during last football season and perhaps a little more to do with him not playing than where he throws the ball from.
