What will become of David Carr when Vince Young goes to the Houston Texans?

Moot point. My bet is that they stay with Reggie Bush.

On a side note, I do not wish the crappiness of the Texans' organization on Vince Young. He deserves better than that.

And David Carr and Andre Johnson don't?
Vince is a big boy who will earn a big check, no matter where he goes. I'm confident he'll survive, wherever he ends up.

Do you wish the crappiness of the Saints or the Titans? At least the Texans have some weapons on both sides of the line. And from what I can tell McNair is a hell of a person, the same could not be said for Benson and Adams. I think the Texans will take a step back if they draft Young. He will be good no doubt, but for immediate help I think bush gives them more sooner, and while Carr looks like a mistake being drafted #1 a few years ago, he has shown he is more than capable of being a QB in the NFL, never will be the best but not the worst either.

I guess I'm just more concerned with Vince's well-being than theirs. However, you're right, he'll be fine wherever he goes - as long as he keeps his head on straight. I'd like to see him go to Tennessee seeing as he and McNair are good friends.

To me, that's like Miguel Tejada, during his now-rescinded trade request, saying he wanted to get shipped to the Red Sox so he could play with his buddy, David Ortiz. That didn't sit well with me (you demand a trade when I'm paying you $72 million over 6 years, and you go wherever I send you), and this wouldn't sit well with me, either. Thankfully, I haven't seen anything about Young trying to orchestrate an Eli Manning move to the Titans. It's just swell that he and McNair are pals, but to me, a draftee (and this includes Eli and Elway and every other Rosenhaus wannabe who strong-arms a deal out of a particular town) should have no say about where he ends up. If he doesn't like the team that drafts him, he certainly doesn't have to sign what will be an enormous contract.
Again, I've seen nothing from Young to suggest he would do anything like that. In a way, I almost hope New Orleans gets him, because he seems like such an engaging, charismatic guy -- with an unarguably exciting playing style -- that the city might embrace him even more than other top young players. If he does end up a Saint, I'd even root for him to have some success .... which is no small concession for this anti-longhorn.

Wow, you just went on a huge diatribe about something I never even said. All I said was that I don't want Vince to play with Houston and if I had my druthers, would like to see him get picked 3rd and go to the Titans. My hunch is that Houston will still pick Reggie (assuming he declares), the Saints will take Leinart and Vince could go to the Titans. Anyway, it's all speculation right now.
Of course, I'd love for Dallas to get their hands on Vince, but there's no way in hell that's gonna happen.

No way in Dallas, Parcells only wants geriatric QB's.

Upon further review .... you're right. I didn't mean to challenge you -- maybe I was reading a request by Young into what you were saying. I guess I'm just worked up by Tejada (?????) He must be represented by Scott Boras, the baseball version of Drew Rosenhaus.
