They plan to use it to expand the football stadium, which is already named after him!

Yup, I hear he is building some sort of Olympic village there too. With the
additions to the stadium, they are putting a bid in for the 2020 Summer
Olympics.

They are building an "athletic village", and additions to the stadium.
Sounds like a bid for the Olympics to me.

Now that torch might even be worth a roadtrip.
Just don't burn down that bar.

Where has rich_alum been lately? Missed his witty banter.

Didn't Pickens daughter go to SMU? If so, perhaps, Gerald ought to have a chat with him.

Maybe they can finally turn that football field so that it goes North-South. Its the only East-West one in D-I.

Now that's interesting. Is there a reason for that?

Not that iIknow of. I'm sure when it was built it just fit into the campus best like that.

The stadium is oriented incorrectly because most OSU students and alumni/alumnae go the other way...
Come on - there must be a better joke than that out there. Help me out!

Best I can figure, the East-West configuration is to leave half the stadium blinded by the sun at any point in the day from sunup to sundown.
I still can't decide what was worse, the ass-beating we took there (TWICE) or the setting sun at eye level for about an hour of the game.
Sent from my Motorola brick.
