Is our AD participating in these Cotton Bowl talks? Shouldn't the City of Dallas be looking at including SMU as perhaps the team to play a revolving Big 12 opponent? You know if we help each other it helps both.

Please UT go back to Austin and never come to Dallas!

I read in the DMN this morning that ol DeLOSS S.(Scrooge) Dodds aka
"Destroyer of the SWC" is holding off on approving an extension of the
OU TX games at the Cotton Bowl. His excuse is that they are awaiting
their own safety engineering report on the Cotton Bowl.

Guess he doesn't trust the City of Dallas engineers, and UTX might be at
least partially liable if an upper Rotten Bowl deck fell on somebody's
butt.

Anyway, the same article mentioned OU, and TT is finalizing a contract
on game(s) there, and A&M is talking with someone about a game there
too. My guess is the SMU A&M game for 2011 or 2012?

P.S. Copeland needs to retire right now if he's not part of this :!:

As I have said many times, this would help recruiting in Dallas tremendously. UT would not be starting a frontline of Dallas kids.

Deloser is holding out for a bigger cut - fat windbag.

Hit the road jack. That game goes to a home and home and it is just another big 12 snoozer.

TCU's AD, as I recall, was asked to attend these conferences.

Yeah, because tradition and presitge don't mean anything.

If tradition meant anything to UT they would not be talking about moving the game. No neutral site = just another game. Delo$$ only cares about the bucks - he is selling you out because he makes more if UT makes more money. Stooge

Was listening to the Ticket on the way to the Stars game today and they were said the A&M vs Tech game would be there down the road.

Personally I wouldn't mind SMU vs TCU there. SMU vs A&M would basically just be another home game for the Aggies just in Dallas.

If A&M plays anyone at the Cotton Bowl it most likely will be Texas Tech as they have had long negotiations on such a game. The grapevine has suggested that Tech was willing but A&M was dragging their feet. Heck for all we know that TCU-LSU series in 2011 2013 could possibly be in the Cotton Bowl

SMU used to have great games with Notre Dame - that would be great for the CB.

The City is trying to get SMU to play a game in the Cotton Bowl. I mentioned it weeks ago.

I bet anyone a six pack of beer A&M never sets foot inside Ford Stadium.
