Is this true?

I missed the news broadcasts on Signing Day because (A) I was at the Mustang Club deal and (B) I don't watch the local news, anyway, but someone told me Dale Hansen reported that SMU, Texas Tech and (I think) A&M had "their best recruiting classes ever." Did he really say that? If so, I'm sure he did it with an obnoxious smirk on his face, and I wish someone would knock it off for him.

He is mocking how coaches always say that (or at least allude to that - they are always "HAPPY!" about their classes).

He says the same thing every year.

That's what I suspected. He couldn't name a player on the SMU roster (since he hasn't been here since 1987), and I'm quite sure he couldn't name a player headed to SMU. Hell, I doubt he even knows who Phil Bennett and Jim Copeland are. (If he bothers to send anyone to the Copeland press conference -- assuming there is one -- I'm sure Dale will have some backhanded slap for Copeland at the end of his broadcast.)

Hansen is crap so what...why do we all get so bent out of shape that he continually belittles SMU?
Every coach in America on wednesday night was talking about how they found certain sleepers and how their class was exactly what they were looking for. Of course, if you sign 34 kids like TT this past fall, it is a little hard not to find a few sleepers.
