new AD: what if PB were to get his man

Recently Barry Alvarez retired as fb coach at Wisconsin and will now be AD.

How great would it be for a 5-year window to jump-start things than to show a great gesture of cronyism and bring Bill Snyder down and make him AD, a nice distraction from the boredom of retirement. The faculty I'm sure would shudder at first, then outright not like him, but I don't think he'd put up with any crap. Tell Snyder to just show us what is needed across the board to get all sports successful...and implement them across the board; it's capitalism, folks, and college sports is about $$, which is only realized with w's. Have the professor whose comments were posted on the boad this week sit to Snyder's side at the press conference to extole the importance of loosening up the noose on academic requirements.

Of course, the above will never happen...but wouldn't it be nice? Anyone remember the 40000 strong sea of purple that went to Dallas for KState's first bowl game vs. BYU?

I highly doubt Coach Snyder would be even a little interested. If he wanted to continue working, I'd think it would be on the sideline at Kansas State.

The name rings a bell, but I can't get past Matt Geiger, the old Georgia Tech/76ers big man.
Who's Andy Geiger?
Thanks

The former A.D. of Ohio State. He resigned after the scandal.

I was kidding, I want Secules. Snyder is king at KSU, why would he come down here to be an A.D? If we paid him a ton, the only guy like that who might come is Slocum (and I would say No).

as long as we are talking about pipe dreams and spending a ton of money, why don't we just offer Oklahoma's, USC's or Texas's AD to come down and take over? They are all proven ADs that might want a challenge if you offered them enough money. Granted it would have to be a huge sum, but it would get us a proven AD.
