the university might try to go a complete different route and follow the Vanderbilt model of eliminating the AD position and consolidating departments? Not that I am advocating this in the slightest but it wouldn't surprise me if this was considered. Just a thought. Discuss amongst yourselves.

Replace the AD with BCS $$$$ and I would think it was a good idea. We need a leader.

Not a chance. The search committee is either formed or in the process of being formed, and President Turner already has publicized some of the criteria he's looking for. We'll have another AD.
