SMU all time records

The other day LF68 and I were eating some delicious burgers at Hut's and I tell him that I love going to Hut's because of all the SWC parafanalia, esp. that there is more than plenty of SMU parafanalia visible from every table - oh and the burgers are frickin' good.

He tells me that earlier in the day he was surprised to find that SMU had a losing record all time. I wasn't surprised. 20 years of losing will do that to a program.

So today I got a little intrested... and I really didn't want to do any work...

Pre-Death Penalty we were some sixty games over .500 ... 68 games to be exact:

380-312-51

But post DP we have moved 17 games under .500 all time:

431-448-54

Yup. That's why something beyond totally egregious would have to happen in the future for the NC2A to ever impose the DP again. But on the bright side, now with 12 game schedules, all we have to do is string a few winning seasons together and we might just slip over .500 again. Here's hoping.

Thats why NCAA stands for National Corrupt A%%hole
A$$ociation. :!:

Gee, I guess loss of life is a reason why the DP shouldn't have been
given in the Nuremburg (sp?) Trials.

Here in Austin... on 6th near Lamar. Right near (on the opposite side of the street as) Katz's Deli - if you know where that is.
