SMU junior tailback Keylon Kincade was named Western Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week today for his performance in the Mustangs' 24-14 loss to Texas Tech last Saturday. The Troup, Texas native rushed for 160 yards and a touchdown on a career-high 37 carries. His 37 attempts tied for third on the SMU single-game list and tied for the most by a Mustang junior.

"It is a great honor for Keylon," said SMU head coach Phil Bennett. "He had an outstanding game. He ran hard and kept getting better as the night progressed."

Kincade has rushed for more than 100 yards in each of SMU's first two games this year becoming the first Mustang to do so since Reggie Dupard in 1985. His 130.5 yards per game average leads the WAC and ranks 16th in the country.
