Key to beating TCU

Coach Bennett said that although he didn't catch a pass, John Hampton was nominated by the coaches for offensive MVP against Texas Tech because of his exceptional blocking. He'll have to repeat that performance, or maybe even improve upon it, if we're going to beat TCU. LaMarcus McDonald is the best LB we'll see all year. He's amazingly fast and he hits like he's trying to kill someone. And he's effective against everyone — he opened a lot of eyes last year against Nebraska, which always has a great offensive line. He's the kind of player that offensive coordinators have to account for when they devise their game plan. They will need to make sure they have blockers assigned to him at all times.

You and Iceman know your stuff. McDonald is sensational and very tough to contain.

My apologies HorsePower. I did not see your topic earler. Didn't mean to start the exact same subject. And yes, Hamp will play a pivotal role both blocking and hopefully receiving in this game.

No worries, Iceman. The more talk on this site, the better.
