Why are we just finding out about it now? Why didn't the athletic department notify the press? Why hasn't the AD held a news conference? Why is the football office so mum on this? Are these guys in a gang that goes around beating up innocent civilians and immigrants? We need some answers and we need them NOW!

Now.. is this just a rumor or did it really happen? Can anyone verify this story? Nothing I've found yet just surfing.. and I would think it would have been on the net by now if it happened last night..

That's kinda what I implied, but a lot of people are just flat literal. Lighten up. It's college. Kids go to bars. Kids fight. Nothing too bad about that (as long as it's fists).

It is very saddening to hear this, if true. I have to ask myself this question: Why? Why would anyone want to make this type of mistake? Why would anyone want to subject themselves to this hell?

Why, oh why, would anyone want to hang out at a Deep Ellum bar nowadays? How sad...

when I saw D Thursday - he was leaving SMU with his girlfriend. If the fight was about anything - some other guy tried to hit on her. D isn't the kinda to just start stuff - especially in a sketchy part of downtown.

What's a 19 year old doing in a bar? Don't they card down in Dangerous Deep Ellum anymore?

I hope you're kidding. I figured the reason we didn't hear about this in the media is because no one cares.

This is one instance where our lack of media attention helps the program.

He's obviously comparing the situation to the idiotic media reaction to the Cheney shooting.

Not to hijack the thread, but I can't believe the reaction. Why didn't the White House hold a press conference? Come on. It had nothing to do with government, and Cheney was not injured. There are a million pieces of real news, many to make Cheney look bad if that is your goal, without this rediculous garbage. I guess the difference is most of those news items can't be summed up in one misleading, inflamatory headline like "Cheney shoots friend".

This further proves my theory that 25% of all people are completely useless and should just be killed immediately to make room for the rest of us.
