Just thought I would start a thread about what people what to see out of spring football.
Personally, I want to see a greatly improved offense. Our defense has started to gel and can play with just about anybody in our conference. Our offense, however, has shown some moments of good play (UAB, Houston), but they have not shown any real consistency. I want to see our offense be able to move the ball, protect the QB and score against our defense. Then I will be really really excited about the fall.
Just send 'da money.

I want to see:
1. A quarterback step forward and simply take the job from the others. Don't care who it is, just that someone does it.
2. About four cornerbacks who show they can cover.
3. Indications from the linebackers that the middle line of defense with the graduations of D.D. Lee, Alvin Nnabuife and Rico Harris. Whether it's Hurst, Fleps, Heimenz or someone else doesn't matter. Somebody has to step up and play with McCray and Carrington.
4. The guys (Hawkins, etc.) at new positions.
5. An offensive line that has grown enough and gotten strong enough that as they approach the line of scrimmage, they can inform the defense where/how they're going to shove it down the defense's throat .... and then do it.

I want to see if any of the offensive linemen who played on the scout team last year has progressed enough that they can crack the rotation, even as a backup.

Ponydawg, you might see the QB before you see any slutty sorority girls, unless you see them on the blvd.

No. The three JUCOs (Damon Hurst, Corey Slater and Joe Holmes) and linebacker Pete Fleps, who sat out last year.

Well it was a joke, luckily my wife gets my humor or she would have killed me long ago.
I really want to see a QB win the spot, if we are rotating QB's again this season I don't think any of the games are "sure things".

I want to see a jump ball/lob play installed in the red zone offense to take advantage of our big targets Bobby Chase, Rey Pellerin, Ryan Kennedy and Vincent Chase.

I want to see DeMyron Martin running wild. I saw him on campus recently, and he looks a LOT bigger and stronger.
