Under the headline "Scouting has just begun" (one of the rotating lead stories), there's a photo (complete with an "SMU photo" credit in the corner) of some scouts timing a player at Ford Stadium. Can anyone identify who that is? Looks a little like D.D. Lee, but if so, I believe he's slimmed down a little.

SOUTHERN METHODIST: MARCH 1
One thing that's different than past years is the league now allows players to attend any Pro Day in a state where they live or go to school, provided the college where the Pro Day is held approves. Thus, at SMU, we had players from Colorado State, S.W. Oklahoma, Texas A&M Commerce and Texas College. Thanks to Schoen, Highsmith and Hall, SMU's Pro Day started on time and there were nine scouts in all. It was held at a great facility to run in and the temperature was 85 degrees. The players all ran on fast FieldTurf.

Player Position Gil's comments
Rolando Humphrey DB Humphrey (5-9, 170), ran his 40s in 4.35 seconds with the wind and 4.45 against the wind (his 10-yard time was 1.41, and his 20-yard time was 2.50.) He bench-pressed 225 pounds 12 times, had a 37-inch vertical jump and a 10-foot broad jump. He completed the short shuttle in 4.16.
Alvin Nnabuife DB Nnabuife (6-0 1/8 210) ran his 40s in 4.59 with wind and 4.65 against the wind. He did not do the bench. Nnabuife had a 40½-inch vertical jump, a 10-foot-4 long jump, and ran 10 yards in 1.56 and 20 yards in 2.26.

As an aside, the two SMU players' heights and weights were consistent with what is on the SMU roster. I know that bugs some people.

Nnanbufie is listed at 6-1 on the SMU roster-so they missed by 7/8th of an inch.
