Might mention if you follow the above link, click on the SMU Mustangs link at the bottom and see what else has been said. There is a decent article on DeMyron amongst other things

I bet you $1,000 they have same cheerleading writer doing summersalts about each of the other 118 Division 1A teams as well. If that crap turns you on then Rah! Rah! Rah!

Once again a very insightful and helpful comment there. Not to mention completely unfounded...some teams don't even warrant an article positive or negative.

That said, Yes the articles read like they were put out by SMU PR department...but who cares. It is still good publicity talking about the positives of SMU football. Something that is entirely too few and far between in most publications and actually on this board as well.

I looked at East Carolina, Tulsa, Tulane and Rice, and there are no similar stories. You owe each of us $1,000.

depends, was the statement specific enough to be construed as an offer, to be accepted by peformance?

How was that bet ambiguous? "I bet you" is a rather definitive offer of a bet, however, considering I don't feel like taking money under such a silly bet...how about the $1,000 goes to Mustang Club...which I believe is a punishment worse than death for Stallion

stallion cannot stand anything positive, even when somebody else outside the program or this webpage writes it, because, by God, he has to be right that the whole thing is broken. How dare somebody actually think we are going to be better.

Pretty sure the writer is an SMU student.

I hate to sidetrack this thread back to the original topic, but I thought the article was nice. It wasn't very well written, but it was very complementory. Here's hoping we see more articles this positive in the future.
