Usually the spring is not the time to really evaluate the kickers but with two four year starters gone, that leaves a big ? How did they look? Strong legs, weak legs, consistency, accuracy?

There was one guy at halftime who was kicking 60 yd field goals with ease. Not sure his name i think that it was #18.

Morstead or whatever his name is had two beautiful long punts-I think he can probably do the job quite nicely. He's a big ole 6-4 kid.

Not trying to discount the guy's 60 yard kick, but he had a pretty nice tail wind at his back to help out. Overall though, I agree he looked best of the kickers.
...after the Morrison kid, I think our talent level drops off quickly.

Well, it's usually windy in Dallas. It's certainly possible SMU can count on 60 yard FGs with regularity next season. Let's hope so (not that I don't think we can score lots of TDs but the FGs sure help run up the score)!!!

My mom has a stronger leg than Wolcott.
Missing the first extra point didn't give me a ton of confidence. Some of the punts were great, but there were a couple of low, short ones as well. Kickoffs were not deep, they were consistantly at the 10 or 15. That touchback thing was quite a weapon last year...

Don't be shocked if newcomer Cunningham takes over the place kicking duties - none of the guys on Sat. hit with great accuracy.
Morstead can punt.

I laughed as the kickers were running out to kick into the south endzone. "Look what I can do!"
I had heard our placekickers were shanking them in practice on kickoffs. I wonder if they were easing off to make sure they were in bounds.

if we are going to start questioning the reliability of poster's information then we just need to go ahead and shut this board down.
and I don't just mean SMU Football Blog, there is not a soul on this board that has not posted something they "heard" or were "told by an insider"

I heard from a credible source that if SMU finishes with at least a 6-6 record in football next year that we will be invited into the Big XII. Shhhh!!!! Credible sources tell me so... and BTW, it's either gonna' be Nebraska leaving for the Mountain West or Baylor getting the boot! But, if all else fails, they are also thinking about it being the Big XIII... SSShhhh!!!! You didn't hear it from me... but if you did, you heard it here first!
To paraphrase that 80's Jett chick, I hate myself for loving this board. Or more rightly, at least this time of year - this bored.
I need some freakin' fookin' leg breakin' jaw choppin' slap crappin' [um, "slap whating" what?] FOOTBALL!!!!!!!!
Go Stars, eh!
Oh and go Mavs, FCD, Rangers, and ... eventually... uh, go... uh... T [cough] O [cough], I wanna' die. Well, as at least he ain't Barry Bonds.
