Spring Game & Practice Questions

Postby OC Mustang » Sun Apr 09, 2006 3:17 pm

Okay, I really am a wonk on this stuff.
What kind of offense did Willis run? Did Slater & Johnson run same?
What offense was run? Shotgun Spread Option? Did they line up in the I?

And defense as well...did they run 4-3? Did they blitz they linebackers a lot?

And specifically, how did the O-line do on the inital push, and did they run any traps/counters? Also, how did the RBs do after the first hit? DeMyron was a tank after the initial hit. I am curious (since I didn't get to see any of it) how Fitz & Mapps did.

Anybody got any scoop on that?

I stopped trying to translate what you just asked after you said Demyron was out there. He wasn't.

I believe he was refering to how DeMyron played last fall and was asking how the RBs that played Saturday did after the first hit as a comparison.

Thanks PK...sorry, my 8 year old was chomping at the bit to go outside and toss the ball around. I wanted to post my questions before I hopped outside.

You are exactly right. I was trying to get a read on how Fitz and Mapps deal with that initial hit.

Also, I am not hearing much about Fleps. Was he in the game at all, even as a 2nd string player? I, like Stallion, see a real issue brewing at LB. Fleps at least has the size to see some rotation to keep the seasoned guys fresh.

Yes, Fleps played. He didn't make me forget Lawrence Taylor in his first outing, but he was in on a few tackles, I think.
But I confess, I was focused largely on the offense.
