UNIVERSITY PARK – After senior Kris Briggs came off the bench and rushed for 132 yards against Hawaii, including 61 on a late touchdown, SMU coach Phil Bennett said he plans to use Briggs more against San Jose State.
Briggs, who was a second-team All-WAC selection as a sophomore, has five career 100-yard games. Briggs has worked himself back into shape in practice after he missed about 10 days in two-a-days because of heat exhaustion.
