Marshall Draws 18K

Postby Duke Blue Blood » Sun Apr 23, 2006 11:35 pm

Marshall drew 18K to their Green & White game (same as our Red/Blue). Either there is nothing to do in WV or they are ready for football season.

Pretty impressive.

Awesome for Marshall, but I think part of the big crowd was because they are currently filming a movie about the Marshall team plane crash, and the green-white game was the final day of shooting. Still pretty amazing.

btw: I guarantee you that Marshall is in CUSA to win Championships...as they have been doing since they went 15-0 in 1996 (1-aa), they have won 3 straight MAC championships in Div-1a.

Other than the occasional semi-pro team I believe that the only Professional team is the West Virginia Power - Single A baseball affiliate of the Brewers. They used to be the Charleston Alley Cats.
