DALLAS (SMU) - SMU head athletic trainer Jeanne Olson and SMU equipment manager Ed Davidson will receive awards at Tuesday night's All-American Football Foundation banquet to be held at the Hyatt Regency (Union Station) in Dallas.

Olson will be honored by the organization as the Outstanding Athletic Trainer of the Year while Davidson was named the Outstanding Equipment Manager of the Year.

Davidson is completing his 13th season at SMU and his 11th as SMU's equipment manager.

He came to SMU in 1993 as the Mustangs' assistant equipment manager and was promoted to his present position after two years. He handles all aspects of athletic equipment including purchasing, fitting and maintenance, as well as transportation of the equipment to road sites. Davidson is a Certified Athletic Equipment Manager and a member of the Athletic Equipment Managers Association.
"It’s hard to overstate how impressive SMU has been on the recruiting trail since the ACC announced the Mustangs would be joining the league”
