I'm coming up this weekend to watch Coach Bennett get his first win at SMU!

Remember, Coach has put in a new system on each side of the ball, and while he has some talented players on each side of the ball, he needs a lot more, and he needs players recruited specifically to play his style of ball. Remain loyal and supportive, and have faith that with improved recruiting, Coach Bennett will get the job done!

It's rare that anything of value comes from the other board. They have a great post today, however .... from a Kansas State fan.

But ask anyone in college ball, pundits, commentators, other coaches and they will tell you he got it done. Phil Bennett tutored under him. You cannot expect instant success. You people who blast him, as they did Bill Snyder, will no doubt be on the bandwagon singing his praises a few years down the line."

The naysayers are out in force, and in a year or two, when the Ponies are running roughshod over the WAC, they'll all be saying "I believed in Coach Bennett all along." Let's show that faith and support him now. Go to every game, bring a friend, and be LOUD!

It's been a long year for all of us Pony Fans, but you guys are right - we need to supposed the team and the coaches through the good times and the bad. Coach Bennett will get things straightened out quicker than you think. Be there with the Ponies now, and you'll enjoy it more when the wins are rolling in.

I have been saying this from the start. Give Coach Bennett a few years. So many coaches that are regarded as legends today, got off to a dreary start when they took over a program that was down. I am glad to know that others agree.
We watched the SMU/Fresno game on t.v. The Mustangs moved the ball really well - great running game. Just could not make the score - had three chances. But, this will come!!!! And, the defense played well too. Fresno is a really good team!!

Keep up the good play Mustangs - you will get a win ! We are coming to Homecoming and I bet we see the Mustangs win!
