"Austin-South Chronicle"

Just so everyone knows that we aren't the only school that feels overlooked by their local paper due to the overwhelming coverage of UT I thought I would post this response to Richard Justice's blog on the Houston Chronicle webpage:

Great, here comes the curse of Richard Justice. Everytime he writes a nice article about UH they lose. Gave props after S. Miss, lost to SMU next week. Same thing happened during basketball. THe UH alumni do want more coverage from the Austin-South Chronicle but not by Richard. Just do what you do best and stay affixed to Bevo's backside.

People frequently write in saying the Chronicle gives too much coverage to UT and not enough to Rice and UH. I am sure there are similar situations across the country with other big time programs in their state. So we are not the only one with the same complaint. I'd love to see an improvement in both UH and SMU football this season (with SMU of course beating UH here) and for both teams to get more media coverage for themselves and CUSA. The more pub CUSA as a whole gets the better it will be for us.

both schools could start by averaging more than 1/5th of UTs attendance.

UH enrollment and ours

UH has a bigger enrollment than SMu, so their attendance problems are proportionally worse than ours. Go figure.
