What's Your Favorite SMU Win Over TCU?

Last year would be the obvious choice because we ruined their season, but we did beat them 13 years in a row from '73-'86. My personal favorite is the 56-21 thrashing in Amon Carter in 1985.

Last year is the one I remember most. There was a time when we beat them so regularly, that the winning was expected. I was sitting in Ford in total disbelief last year. TCU was playing so badly and we were staying in the game and not letting them steal it from us. Right after the half when TCU scored, I thought "Well, now here they go, they're going to beat us after all." But led by DeMyron and Jerad, our guys played with their hearts and minds and won! It was so exciting to see such joy from those deserving players that I had tears in my eyes.

It was *15* years in a row, ('72-'86). They never would have beaten us again if not for the DP.

As have most of your arguments, counselor.

wasn't TCU the 1st SWC team we beat in the post-death penalty era? At the time, I enjoyed that one but last year's win is the obvious choice here

21-10 was as sweet a win as I can remember in any sport in a long time.
That always will be one of my favorite games.

This last game of the season against TCU in 66 gave us the SWC
Championship 21 - 0 after a season of wild last second comebacks
against Rice, Texas, and Baylor. We were ranked #9 in the polls
before the Cotton Bowl game against Georgia.

Last year's game and head coach Hayden Fry's last game.

Because it was so unexpected, I would have to say last year's game. In second place, I'm going with the 117-degree-heat "Probation Bowl" of '86; it reminds me of a blissful time when we not only ate frog meat, but took it for granted.
