SMU-Tulane and the Green Wave's schedule

Mrs. RGV Pony and I were working on our fall travel schedule, planning which SMU & LSU games we could go to...and I discovered something I wasn't previously aware of:

The week before getting us, Tulane is LSU's homecoming fodder!!!

Now...this could be good or bad: Perhaps Tulane goes and gets jacked up and beat up by LSU, then limps into the game with our beloved Ponies....

or
Tulane goes up against LSU and then gets our guys, and says hey...the guys last week were a lot faster..this ain't so bad...

or
Tulane has a good showing vs. LSU and rides a wave of momentum into the game vs. us (least likely, IMO).

Anyone else's opinion? Good or bad? Or no difference?

I think it is worse that the Tulane game is the first game in the Superdome post-Katrina.

Might be an emotional game for a lot of 'em. However, how many of the Tulane fb players are no longer with them? Esp. after no recruitment this last year, and them canning their athletic major?

Last I heard Tulane had only lost a couple of players. I guess the test will be who shows up this fall.
