My guess would be that all incoming frosh are redshirted, save perhaps the kid from Oklahoma. I think that's PB's preference.

Anyone else think that Columbus Givens may wish he'd redshirted last year?

Didn't they say that Tyler Jones, Patrick Strodtman, Morgan Hudnall and Kyle DeGroat were going to be grayshirts? I heard one of them might come in early, but I don't know who, or if it's even true.

You're right, Coach Bennett has said many times that he would like to redshirt everyone. But everyone I've talked to has said that if he's healthy, McCann (the Oklahoma kid) will be hard to keep off the field.

And I'd bet Kellis Cunningham doesn't redshirt, either.

If nothing else, Givens still has a redshirt year available if he ever gets hurt. Here's hoping he never has to use it.

Yea...

Cunningham and McCann are definite non-redshirts. I would also say that Burley should not redshirt, even though we have many talented wideouts and tight ends, he is way too talented to keep off of the field. I bet 1 or 2 more guys play too.

DB Tim Crosby out of Garland has potential. 4.5 40, 33" verticle, and had over 70 tackles last year along with fumble recoveries, interceptions etc., and played for a 5A program. A liitle light at 170 and could use
a year in the weight room.

I doubt Coach Bennett has any definite non-redshirts in July.

As for Burley, I agree he might become a star, but there are rumors that he's kind of raw, and therefore might benefit from a year of practice, studying the technique and work ethic of guys like Bobby Chase and Rey Pellerin.
