I haven't mentioned it because quite honestly, DCTF is the WORST college football publication on the market.

I just find it odd that a 3 page thread was started because it called Rice the "game of the year" (I disagree) and nobody said, "Hey, they say SMU is going to go to a bowl game." That is why they called it the biggest game of the year anyway, because they thought a win made SMU bowl eligible.

A) You're right -- it's garbage. It's good for HS football, I suppose, but I don't care about HS football. I care about SMU football.

B) It might not have been mentioned that Old Man Campbell's staff predicted a bowl, but there has been lengthy discussion on this board about whether a 6-6 record would get the Ponies to a bowl game. Personally, because of the media attention, I think it would, even if some of those wins are against the Arkansas States and Sam Houstons of the world.
