South Team will be coached by Gregory-Portland's George Harris, who has been known in the past for having outrageous success with the Wing-T but this year will be utilizing the spread offense. Will be interesting to see Rhodes, Smart, and Gonzales in that spread.

Smart is at 225 and working out daily in Marshall's field house. Coach Southern told me today at Rotary that he so wishes he had him back another year.
Southern said that other the the honor of getting to play, one of the reasons Smart was even doing these summer all-star games was to stay fresh.

OK I won't be able to give my annual report on SMU players in this game because I will be in the deep blue waters of the Caribbean at the time. I expect to read a post from my cruise ship immediately after the game.
-Caribbean Stallion.

Careful on board, those cruise ships seem to be a dangerous place for singles who like to drink too much.

Tyler Jones is playing linebacker? Does that mean, as some speculated, that he could grow into a linebacker at SMU?
Good luck in the game, guys!

maybe its just me but i do not necessarily like the idea of our recruits playing in some BS all star game a week before they are supposed to report to fall camp. I understand these games being played in March and April, but not August.
