How disgusting

I think I'm going to puke. Saturday night, flipping channels (in Dallas, I might point out), and I just saw an ad for Baylor football. Granted, it was a stupid ad, but it still makes me want to return my dinner to have to see Baylor on a Dallas station.

Dallas is a big market for Baylor..., regardless, I understand your feeling.

Where's the SMU ad?

Baylor did what SMU should be doing, advertising its team in the media. With about 4 million people in the metroplex, lots of college programs want to reach their fan base here. How do you think UT fans feel about the OU coaches' program being shown south of the Red River? When the mustang mania campaign was going strong, there was publicity about SMU stickers being seen as far away as Germany. Do you suppose that SMU would spend money on TV ads in Lubbock or Houston to promote ticket sales for our road games? Fogetboutit.

Try 7mm in the Arbitron/Neilson area...

According to the U.S. Census 2000, the metropolitan area had a population of 5.1 million (though a July 1, 2004 estimate placed the population at 5.7 million). The Dallas–Fort Worth–Arlington MSA is the fifth largest United States metropolitan area and the 52nd largest metropolitan area in the world.

I've heard 7mm for the 11 county area, currently.

Funny. Even funnier because Terry's a minister!

Man, the largest congregation Methodist church in the U.S. is right across the street from Ford Stadium. You'd think there might be a fan base there, too!

Diehard: just curious...what time and what channel did you see the Baylor spot? If it's the same one that was discussed on the forum last week, you're right. It's stupid.

How Disgustung

Saw the Baylor ad on a San San Antonio TV station or maybe it was on a Ranger broadcast thru a SA station. Either way the message is reaching across Texas no matter how stupid the ad is. Athletic department should seriously consider. :?:

The Richards Group here in Dallas came up with the concept.

I saw it late at night over the weekend. I think it was on Fox Sports SW.
Made me pretty cranky, and induced dry-heaving.
