This is a good thing right? Not a, "they are gonna blow us out so bad they won't need a defense?"

If we can keep their defense on the field (i.e. and our offense on the field), their vaunted offense can not score.
Any defensive starter out of commission for whatever reason is a good thing.

Taurean Henderson - also ineligble due to Lack of any more eligibility.

How good were both of these guys. Was this already expected or is this new news?

The same is true of Donny Anderson.

Dixon, who would have been a Sophmore, was a Second Team CollegeFootball.com Freshman All-American last year and the earliest freshman to become a starter at Tech in Leach's entire tenure at Tech. I think they expected him to blossom into a stud. Taureen Henderson is irrelevant has he was a Senior last year-

Irrelevant? I think not. Was it irrelevant when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?

Henderson's departure to the Minnesota Vikings is not irrelevant. He caught more passes than any RB in NCAA history, and caught at least one pass in an NCAA-record 51 consecutive games. The Leach undoubtedly has more RBs waiting in the wings who can catch, but Henderson was singularly talented in that offense.

As I recall, he ran all over us, not just caught balls.
I admit to being a little fuzzy on that detail, but I also recall our defense getting sliced up at a certain point.

Tech can score so quickly don't plan on them not scoring their share of points. We will have to open up our offense like we did with UTEP to have a chance.[/quote]

add another one to the list...this guy from UNT:
Sophomore North Texas linebacker Eddrick Gilmore has not met NCAA eligibility requirements and will not play for UNT this season, Mean Green coach Darrell Dickey said.
