We are not a "top 55 team" and he does not say so.

I would guess we would finish last in all of the top 4 conferences (SEC, ACC, Big 10, Big 12). We could compete with Syracuse, Cincinnati & UConn in the Big East. We would bottom three there too. A realistic rating for a team that would rationally win 4-6 games in CUSA West would be in the high 70's & low 80's.

I think we could beat Kentucky, or Indiana, or Baylor, or Kansas State, or Wake/Duke...

so no, we wouldn't finish last in any of these conferences...but close.

I am amazed at your optimism about his team. All of those games would be toss ups. KSU would be favored by at least a touchdown.

a Touchdown against Kansas St?-try 3 TDs. This is so much BS. There are at least 80 teams in the country even being optimistic who are better than SMU. I woulsd place SMU in the low 90s somewhere.

Yes, I can see. But it seems you may have also adopted the new GRGB math, so be careful. Soon 7-5 won't be good enough for you and 9-3 will be only marginally better than last years' 5-6.

We COULD be Baylor-we haven't done it in the last 10 games but we COULD beat Baylor. Oh God I love late summer.

Now, that's not even fair. He had SMU, while they had Big12 teams...

We could beat OKIE state this year...they are predicted horrible...so much for their great classes of 2-3 years ago.
