Troup's Keylon Kincade has been a Troup Tiger, a Southern Methodist University Mustang, and has recently been signed for his third season on the Dallas Cowboy practice squad.
On Saturday, Kincade, who has spent time playing professionally in Europe, returned to Troup to help raise money for the Troup Youth Football and Cheer Association. The running back signed autographs and pictures and brought official NFLequipment for the auction. The association raised approximately $1,000 during Saturday's event that was held at the Troup library.
"I want to help start the program and keep it local," Kincade said. He met future Troup Tigers and cheerleaders and was pleased with the amount of money raised at the auction. His wife, Nolia, and son, K. J. were also on hand at the event.
Saturday's event was a success, but donations are still needed for TYFCA to kick off the first year of the organization.
