Are Columbus Givens and Cunningham going to each have #4? I thought I read where Givens chose that number

Givens and Cunningham are both wearing #4, just like Duke Hasson and Corey Slater will share #12, etc. The only rule is that they have to have no chance of being on the field at the same time (so one offense, defense, special teams, etc.)

And Marcus Straughter might have punted in HS, but he's playing here as a DB.

Some of the jersey numbers really work, while others are pretty ho-hum.

Single-digit numbers on WRs and DBs just work. I don't know, makes them look faster. Or something.

These numbers work, but only with a qualifier. When I see a WR with a number in the 20s, I think of that guy who caught the over-played heave from Doug Flutie when Boston College beat Miami. WRs who get numbers in the 20s have to remind a little of that guy, and fortunately, neither Hudnall or Medford is all that big.

Very nice. Maybe they'll think he's a blocking fullback who gets split out wide a lot.

I'm a big fan of an defensive linemen with numbers under 50. Justin Rogers (40), Cory Muse (11), Alan Adami (14), Kevin Aldridge (11), Luke Johnson (45), Mercury Hall (9) .... they just work.

I notice on the roster that Hudnall, Tyler Jones, and DeGroat have been assigned #s. I guess that means that they are not being grashirted.

Patrick Strodtman and Justin Smart don't have #s ao I guess that means that they are the grayshirts.

There are also two HS walk ons with #s. Zach Zimmerman, #5, Flower Mound Marcus, and Chase Courney, #41, Alexandria, La. Anyone know anything aboit these two?
