DALLAS, TX (August 4, 2006) – The Gardner Group will be the lead sponsor of the 2006 SMU Football Kickoff Luncheon on Wednesday, August 16 at the Doubletree Hotel Dallas. Firm President Greg Gardner, a former letterman on the football team, is an active supporter of the University and is President of the SMU Mustang Club for 2006.

Keynote speaker for the second annual luncheon will be former SMU player and Coach Forrest Gregg. “We are so pleased that Coach Gregg has accepted our invitation to speak at the luncheon,†says Gardner. “Having played for Coach Gregg, I enthusiastically share the SMU football community’s love and admiration for this man. I know his words will be an inspiration to us all.â€

Mustang Fans have the option of sponsoring a table for $600, which includes eight tickets and the choice of two players, two coaches or a player and a coach. Individual tickets are available for $75 and can be purchased on-line at www.smumustangs.com.
