19,000 Season Tickets + 5,000 TCU Student Tickets + 2,000 Faculty Tickets + 5,000 for Parents.
TCU will have a wonderful showing.
Tech, a good, but by no means, match"able" to TCU.
Go Frogs! Pony Up!

It won't be as lopsided as Ford a couple of years ago, but half that crowd will be wearing red and black.

Prediction
Texas Tech 55
TCU 13
Frogs are roadkill at the hands of the Red Raiders. Massive quantities of margaritas will be consumed by the Frog faithful at Joe T. Garcia's after the game to drown their sorrows.

Holy cow, for you guys who think Tech is going to pound TCU, if you are right I hate to think of how bad the score will get against SMU.

Very true.. at least it's their first game though.. hopefully they won't be firing on all cylinders.
What we obtain too cheap.. we esteem too lightly. It is persistence alone that gives everything its value.

Half is a good estimate. TCU gave Tech 5000 and Tech requested 3000 more. I never heard officially if we got them or not, but I can't imagine TCU denying the opportunity to guarantee another 3000 sold. Some Red Raiders bought tickets from TCU online and some bought from TCU season ticket holders.
25% of Tech alumnae base lives in DFW and it grows every year. Only about 1700 DFW Red Raiders have season tickets, so for most, this is the best or only chance to see the team. Which is why 35,000 show up to watch Tech play UNT. Which is one reason UNT/TCU/SMU enjoys scheduling Tech for a home and home. UNT was dropped becausethey said they didn't want to play in TX Stadium any more, which I can't really blame them.
For the Frogs who feel good about this game, you are saying the same things you said right up until Tech scored to cut the lead 21-7 in 2004.
