Is a real big deal if in his foot. I had one in high school. Sidelined me for 2 weeks.

Article says this shouldn't affect his ability to start against TT. Probably just going to fuel the QB controversy bug.

I thought TCU's HUGE NEWS on Friday was supposed to the commitment of one of the State top high school football players-so was it a hoax or what?

Doesn't matter. They're not SMU, and we're not playing them.

They were thinking it might be Lennon Creer but really who knows. I think OSU is holding the RB position for Creer, thus why Charles O is back on the market.

For the record, I can see the arguments made by some on this board that SMU doesn't get enough publicity by the DMN...
But you just have to love the irony in this story. If I didn't know better (which I don't ), I'd say the DMN threw this out tongue-in-cheek and is having a little fun with Mr. Pony.

Hey, warts, kidney stones, whatever. Coverage is coverage.
A least someone's talking about us. Now if Rich Phillips' boys at The Ticket could force the words 'SMU football' out of their mouths, we might have something.

Is that why UT will have 40,000 at their scrimmage and we'll have 500?

And 25,000 of them will drive down from the Dallas area.

UT will have a crowd, regardless. The DMN is happy to make sure of it.
Publicizing SMU's scrimmage might attract a pretty decent crowd, with the buzz surrounding this team. Reporting the soldout kickoff luncheon and Hall of Fame speaker would have added to that buzz.
The Morning News is not doing the things a hometown paper should do for its D-1A school. There is no question.

Creer is not announcing for TCU today and is a longshot for us. OSU will get Kendall Hunter and really doubt Creer ends up there (but not out of the fear of competing with Hunter). Lennon is someone who really keeps things close to vest and will say what many want to hear, but basically noone but those claose to him knows what he is really thinking and those Rivals reports are somewhat misleading.
Kid is a phenominal prospect though and good head on his shoulders.
