Does this seem weird to anyone else?

The Sporting News recently put out its college preview issue (and it's pretty good). But one thing struck me as really weird. They do a page or two breaking down each of the "big" conferences, followed by a two-page spread on the other conferences like C-USA, MWC, WAC, etc.

Anyway, on each page, they interviewed a trio of players, asking random questions, like "favorite musician/group" or "first car you'd buy in the NFL," etc. The last question is "One word to describe your mom." Most players answered "Caring" or "Selfless" or "Beautiful" or "Amazing" or "The best" or something like that.

Palmer's response: "The man."

Um .... what?




(Somehow I'm thinking I should change "Fort Worth" to "El Paso" in my signature.

Palmer's mom is a man? I'm sure that went over huge in the Palmer house. Anyone else thinking that Carson grabbed the phone as soon as he saw that and advised his little brother about how things can be construed in the media?

Time to start making signs for the roadtrip to El Paso.
