The new tee-shirt shop will be opened this week!

Hey folks - been staying up late for the last few nights working on some tee-shirt designs. I think you will all be very happy with the unofficial official Boulevard shirt. I already have 6 other designs.

Anyhow - just wandering if anybody has some nice high res shots of Bobby Chase and DeMyron? Any pics of either would be good. But specifically, I have one shirt that requires a nice shot of Bobby just hanging out. Sidelines, whatever.

Second question - any requests?

Here's what I have made so far -

- WWDD? (tmustangp, you're covered) it's my unofficial offical Boulevard shirt. A nice front and back jobber.

- A simple design for a women's tee, it just says "PonyGirl"

- A fully tongue in cheek Martin for Heisman (which I am thinking of adjusting to read "DeMYRON for DeHEISMAN"... what do you guys think?)

- "Depressed? Dejected? Demoralized? ... you've been DeMARTINized!" (goofy sure, but why not?)

- A Bobby Chase shirt that would work better if I had a better picture (and smuballboy this one's all thanks to you as it says "Bobby Chase is my Homeboy")

- A home opener shirt


What I will be finishing tomorrow -

- A second home opener shirt, call it the alternate

- "What'chu talkin' about J. Willis?" Front "I'm talkin' about touchdowns" Back

- A 2006 season tee shirt

- "got Sturdivant?"



Anyhow - before I hit the land of sleep, a couple more questions -

First: Ideas for a slogan for the season, I have a few of my own but I would like to open the debate. So what's the slogan? (for the '06 season shirt)

Second: Those of you going to Tech, would you want me to put up a "WRECH TECH"/"GO MUSTANGS" shirt out there? It would be late notice so you would have to order by Wednesday. Do you guys want that? (Personally, I think a "BEAT THE SPREAD"/"GO MUSTANGS" shirt would be funnier, but why fly out to Lubbock just to wear a "BEAT THE SPREAD" shirt... that'd be funnier for a home game... and yes, that refers to not only the gambling term, but Tech's offense too)


In closing... I would post some of the images now, but I want to open the store and then post the pictures here. That's for tomorrow. (Okay I'll do one now.) I will open up the shop with about six designs, and then add more over the course of the week. And yes the shop will still "carry" the old State Champs shirt.

And just a note on that - I have spent quite a good deal more time on these shirts than the State Champs shirts.

Here's the MARTIN for HEISMAN image.... though I still want your votes as to whether it should say "DeMYRON for DeHEISMAN" ... I think I will change it... so I have no problem posting this soon to be obsolete one now ... heh ....









...when I put the rest up on PF.com, I'll shrink 'em a bit and make them all jpegs (yes that's a .jpg above, but I will be uploading to the shop at a higher resolution in a different format)...

...clever ideas. I like the DeMYRON... shirt idea better. Nothing wrong with "Beat the Spread".... remember to use lower case in "got sturdivant?" Good job! All of these show considerably more imagination than last year's TCU SUCKS. Definitely a low point.

I like the T-shirt idea. Remember other schools make a special T-shirt for each game. They usually start with something like "Hey Florida...etc."

I would suggest for the N Texas game have it start with "Hey NTSCC..." or some such

Regarding a slogan for the season, what about using Craig Swan's quote from the UAB game last year:
"Block Up Front, Men! Block Up Front!!"

LOVE the DeMyron for DeHeisman idea (and make the statue bigger/clearer) -- that's awesome. Hell, even if people think it's crazy to push an SMU sophomore, the more people who see his name, the better.

One request: GRAY shirts (or red or blue), not white.

Other ideas:

- something about Ford Stadium being "Mr. (Justin) Rogers' neighborhood"
- something about Bonds being great .... without steroids/BALCO
- "the Chase is on" (???)
- something about speed, comparing Jessie Henderson and Jesse Owens
- "Not your average Joe" (Sturdivant)
- (Find a picture of Jonathan Lindley planting that UTEP returner last year .... no words necessary.)
- "D line of Defense" (picture of Muse, Bonds, Haywood, Rogers)
- RISE UP, MUSTANG NATION (front), celebration/post-win picture on back .... or vice versa



And I liked the TCU SUX shirt.... because it does.

Also, let's ignore the t-shirt and go with the Under Armor. Bought a great Blue UA t-shirt at the Bookstore and wear it all the time. Russell also makes a nice shirt as well that is breathable and a few $$'s cheaper than UA stuff.

How about a shirt specifically for the UNT game:

Front: some picture of DeMyron, Bennett, Chase, Rogers, an SMU helmet logo, Go Mustangs .... whatever ....

and then on the back:

I think you should concentrate on the tee shirt itself--last Saturday night there was a blond coed that had taken her red SMU shirt and cut it up to make a bare shouldered wrap that tied in the back and was open. The coed and the shirt this made this old dog want to hunt! A 1,000 on the BLVD and the stands would allow us to beat the "teasips" in recruiting!

I agree about the tcu sucks shirt. It says exactly what it needs to. No more, no less. And there's no question about what it means.

Man, I had forgotten about that one. That's one I was thinking about doing for a while.

Also, web guys I don't mind paying for a pic off your picture site, but I haven't seen a good Bobby Chase pic on there, is there a good one that I am missing?
