He took a job at UNC-Wilmington. Asst. AD in charge of Development. They don't play football out there. This is a natural thing when a new administration comes in. They want their own folks.
Sorry to see John Koerner leave, but sometimes you have to make some wholesale changes. Knowing John, he has plenty of connections to where he will land on his feet.

I didn't know Koerner, but Chris Walker will be missed. He's one of the nicest people I've ever met, despite his shameful Florida State lineage, worked as hard and as passionately for SMU as anyone I knew over there. I'm sure he'll do a great job at his new position.

...Club Level?? You mean those folks who sit in the ac and are otherwise "disconnected" from the other fans / game? Why would anyone want to sit in the club level? "Martha, pass the Kendall Jackson...pluuuzze." Give me the SPECIAL DELIVERY type fan ANY DAY!!

agree. Do not understand why you would want to sit up there and miss the true game experience. In any event, Chris would always try to help on tickets especialy if you were willing to bump up your Mustang Club donation.

I agree about the disconnection and I don't think they thought it through correctly.... Those windows should open fully like a real box. BUT, you can drink up there and when it's 100 degree in the shade, it's not too shabby.

i dont know if those club level seats are a benefit or a detriment to the program overall. they generate money but really hurt the game experience because smu cannot afford to have any of its few fans behind glass and not seen or heard.

Chris wanted to talk to me about club level seats last year but we never discussed price (club donation bump) because I was happy near the field on the 50. I clearly got the impression that seats were available for a price. Now lower level basketball is another thing. Those were not available at least to me last year and I was willing to bump up to get them.

Sorry, but I can't mourn the loss. I had a experience where Chris truly disrespected a Mustang Club member and season ticket holder (me).
