You sure you didn't pull up the Seattle forecast by mistake?

Monsoonal moisture... it's been crazy wet for the past two weeks. Everything's greening up and it looks great. Too bad not much of it is making it to the Army COE lakes.

I'd be curious to get Stallions take on this, but I would absolutely be thrilled if we were to eoncounter some bad weather for this game. While the ultimate outcome perhaps does not change, I think our chances of success increase dramatically.

I have always felt that rain actually favors the passing game (especially short passes) in that the receivers know where they are going and the defenders have to cut quicker and are more likely to slip. Unless it is a tremendously hard deluge where line of sight is hampered, I think rain would favor Tech. Also, fumbles in the running game are more likely with a wet ball than a dry one. Now a strong West Texas wind might be something to hope for.

I absolutely disagree. Wet football = potential for mistakes.
Young Tech QB, opening-day jitters, wet football, etc., definitely would benefit DeMyron Martin-led Ponies. Yes, we have a young QB, too, and our passing game likely would be pretty much grounded. Tech wouldn't abandon the passing game, to be sure, but might have more mistakes than usual.
Give me a monsoon out there Saturday, and I don't know if we can win, but we can hang in there, as long as DeHeisman Martin is feeling good!

This young Tech QB everyone keeps talking about has played a lifetime more than anyone we have. He is not a newbie by any means.

No, he's not. He's very talented and has played a lot of football. Willis also has played a lot of football, although never at the college level. I'd think neither will have a perfect outing.

Just talked to my buddy in Lubbock and he said it isn't suppose to get above 82 all week. May have to take a pair of jeans for the game. Beats 103 with sweat driping from my chin.

Everybody always says that foul weather favors the underdog.

You'd need Ernesto to take a hard left turn into west Texas to make up 26 1/2 points, though.

How much of an underdog were we last year against TCU?
