When was the last time we beat Tech?

We never did during my tenure at SMU--1991-1995.
I hate Tech more than any other "natural and traditional rival." I always remember the game that one of their trashy players who was walking off the field after beating us looked at my former girlfriend, who was on the pom-squad, and said "Y'all suck!" then spit in her direction. Bunch of classless rednecks from the middle of nowhere.

I believe 1986 or 87 was the last win over the Raiders.

We beat them 13-7 at Lubbock in 1986.

The irony of this statement is that a large percentage of the 'classless rednecks from the middle of nowhere' come to Tech from the Dallas area. Give me a break.

I don't disagree that the Dallas area has its share of classless rednecks, they just seem to gravitate to Tech...or at least like to wear their T-shirts.

Let's be clear. Many Tech students come from Dallas.
The classless rednecks do not come from Dallas. If you have proof otherwise, then what high schools are you referring to - the posh college preparatory schools, or the urban ones where you get your players from (neither of which have rednecks)?

I think everyone who goes to Tech no matter where they come from is top notch. But your arguement is weaker than your football team.

I didn't know Dallas was the 'middle of nowhere'.

Apparently, they don't teach geography at Tech.

It's hard to take abuse from a fan of a team who has a "bellringer" pleasuring himself on the sidelines during their games.

huh? That was the entire point...that many come to the middle of nowhere from Dallas.
Apparently they don't teach common sense at SMU.

I thought that Tech was the "safety school" for everyone who applied to UT or A&M.

And I thought SMU was the school everyone went to because.....wait....
Why exactly does anyone go to SMU?

I don't want to get into a semantics battle. I would feel bad for running up the score on you. But...
They go to the middle of nowhere FROM DALLAS.

Dude, the fact that you don't know excludes you from even being considered in the first place.
Suffice it to say that, out of the literally thousands of reasons why someone would want to attend SMU over Tumbleweeds U, we are not content working at Dillard's the rest of our lives.
