From the DMN:

UNIVERSITY PARK – After a 24-6 loss to Nevada, SMU now owns the worst scoring offense in the nation, averaging 14.1 points per game. Out of 117 NCAA Division I-A teams, SMU is dead last behind No. 116 Rutgers (15.11) and No. 115 UT-El Paso (16.0). SMU (1-9) plays at UT-El Paso (2-7) on Saturday.

This makes it clear to me who are recruiting priorities should be: playmakers!

Amazing what a few missed PAT's and field goals can do to your status in the football world...

Damn, that's god-awful.
Fortunately, UTEP can't stop anyone. I predict we score 30 points, at least. Maybe more.

They stopped Rice...although losing to Tulsa is shameful.

SMU is currently ranked #4 on ESPN's "bottom 10",behind (or ahead, depending on your viewpoint) UTEP. The comment is that "the death penalty is the gift that keeps on giving".

CBS Sportsline ranks SMU #116 out of the 117 Division I-A schools (ahead of only winless Army).

We can only hope our guys suck it up and finish strong, perhaps with 2 wins to close out the season...and get OFF these lists!

One new feature on the ESPN board...the top 10 mid-majors. They list undefeated Bowling Green as #1, followed by Boise St at #2. TCU is #4 and Hawaii #5. Not a bad showing by the WAC, but to be considered the strongest mid-major conference, you need to have 3-4 teams on that list.
