I'm pumped, I'm anxious, I'm nervous

Two days and counting. My mistress College Football returns in all her maddening glory. I don't even care who's playing on Thursday, I'll be watching it.
My Horns are looking to defend their National Championship and I, for one, think they have a damn good chance. My Ponies are looking to re-establish some dominance and play for their first bowl in aeons. This has the makings of a very entertaining football season. There are no certainties for any team going into this season and that's gonna keep things entertaining. I can't wait!

I just realized I will be watching UNT for my first 2 football games - first in Austin and then in Denton.

Wow. That's a bold statement. Good to see it. Passing interest has turned to fandom. I like it.
And smupony94 - we should get together on Sat., I'll be wearing my "TEXAS 'Cause everyone can't go to SMU" shirt. Heh.

How in the world does a team with a new QB and butter finger RB think they will repeat as National Champs? OSU is gonna win.

The same way they did with a QB that can't throw and coach that can't win the big game.

Have something close with the Halloween game. I am seriously thinking about ditching work that day and the day after.

The game of the night on Thursday is South Carolina at Mississippi State. I think it's on at 8 p.m. on one of the ESPNs.
Nothing like the greatness of Steve Spurrier roaming a sideline during the college football season.

I'll take Spurrier by three field goals.

I don't think Tennessee will.
Remember last year when the South Carolina went to Knoxville. They honored Peyton Manning (retired his jersey?) at halftime. South Carolina won the game.
Does that make Superior, I mean, Spurrier, 5-0 against Manning?
Love it. Love him. My favorite football coach at any level.
