ESPN just showed a graphic with the 6 schools graduating over 90% of their football players, and CJ took the opportunity to say that maybe if SMU lowered our graduation rate we might be able to raise our win pct.

I will not judge you if you are planning that.

He's doing quite fine on his little sportcasting gig. But, support your f'in alma mater every once in a while. He sucks.

Does anyone know if he ever finished and earned a degree from us? I have no idea. I'm really not concerned about what CJ said. These talking heads will pop off and say something for shock value to get a reaction. Those TV big wigs love the pithy and antagonistic remarks.

Now that Jessica has graduated, I guess he will be done cutting checks to SMU.

Yeah, he did come back and finish his degree. Remember, CJ wasn't here for the spring semester because he signed with the USFL -Washington Federals and had blown his knee out before the spring semester was over. That said, he should avoid those gratuitous slams at his alma mater. He could have said something almost exactly the same by saying, if only all the schools followed SMU's example, things would be much more even in college football.

Funny this name should come up. I was talking to a neighbor of his yesterday and the subject of SMU and then Craig James came up. SHe was commenting on the fact that he is a really nice guy but the joke in Celina is if his son will really enroll at this January. Apparently Craig tries awful hard to project his son as this great athlete and he is a good kid but not a great athlete.
