www.RedRaiderSports.com has a lengthy story on SMU/Tech matchups and interview with Phil Bennett. (free Content). check out the story on Tech's WR plans too. see also www.texastech.scout.com They call SMU's offensive line "unproven","undersized", "inept", and 'flat-out bad". They note that SMU was 108th in the country last year in tackles behind the line. I too think SMU's line is easily the most overrated group on the team but that looks like bulletin board material

Link above. Alot of inaccurate information but the gist is that we'll be killed on Saturday.

Well if the a-hole that gets $.02 per word to write for the Texas Tech Rivals site says it while wearing his Texas Tech jersey and waiving his pompoms, it must be true.

Have we given Tech a decent game in Lubbock since the DP?

In 1992 we lost 39 to 24, or something like that.

I noticed it mentioned we lost to UAB. Maybe the clock rules are retroactive and we actually lost last year.

Does that mean we can go pick up our 1980 Holiday Bowl trophy?

I don't have a log on but here's what I saw, someone correct me on something if I too, have posted anything inaccurate.

1 Demyron Martin did not break the freshman rushing record last year, but he was close.

2 We beat UAB last year, I guess he meant ECU.

3 The Poynter’s are cousins not brothers

4 Reggie Carrington will start in the middle at LB. He started year before last but was out last year due to injury. He could be all-conference this year.

5 We haven’t been “pass-happy” since the run-n-shoot, and Jared Romo was a pretty good runner as far as I could see. The QB shotgun draw continues to be a favorite of the SMU OC. You’ll see it about 20 times tomorrow, especially in third and long situations.

6 Martin is 6-2 235lbs not 215lbs and Fitzgerald ain't exactly a little guy. see the picture below

7 Cunningham is our place kicker if he isn't injured

#8 is Martin and Fitz is #43.

Martin had 854 rushing yards last year. The SMU freshman record is 860, by ShanDerrick Charles in 2001.

Right, except for the spelling of Jerad Romo's first name.

Cunningham will kick off. Morstead is handling placekicks, I believe.

Damn, what an impressive picture. DeMyron Martin is a beast.

Thanks for the update. I knew SMU beat UAB because of the call played over and over in Dallas.
